Lexicon opens first European office in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Our new office allows us to expand our client service offering to Europe and the UK and is a core part of our strategy to develop Lexicon’s European client base. Our primary focus will be on creating next generation brands in the technology and consumer categories.
We are also pleased to announce that Michiel Maandag will serve as our European representative. Michiel worked for Nokia for over 10 years as global director of brand and product marketing. While at Nokia, he worked directly with Lexicon to develop both new brands and brand architectures. Since his time at Nokia, he has developed his own international consulting practice and has recently authored a best selling book, The Only Book You Will Ever Need on Branding. During his years at Nokia, Michiel lived in Helsinki and New York and worked internationally, giving him a valuable global perspective.
According to Lexicon’s founder, David Placek, “Michiel’s hard working and energetic nature combined with his welcoming personality makes for a perfect fit at Lexicon. We could not be happier with his decision to join us.”
Michiel’s focus will be on helping Lexicon to develop strategic business opportunities in Europe and helping to manage overseas projects. Lexicon’s studio in California will still be responsible for developing all creative solutions.
