NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2012 -- ooVoo, the fastest-growing and largest independent social video-chat provider with 56 million registered subscribers, today announced that Jay Samit has been named President and Larry Lieberman has been named Chief Marketing Officer of the company. This "dream team" first teamed up more than a decade ago to introduce the world to digital music years before iTunes was created. Samit and Lieberman's collaboration at ooVoo will mark the third endeavor for the two technology and social media marketing innovators, who most recently working together to relaunch and grow digital media marketing pioneer SocialVibe.

The rapidly growing social video chat company is on a strong upward-trajectory with consumers, with ooVoo currently adding approximately 100,000 new subscribers each day. ooVoo social video chat advantages include a superior and free HD-quality video chat platform that allows consumers to meet virtually with up to 12 friends at a time, plus an unlimited number of other friends who can watch live. ooVoo subscribers on average are spending over 200 minutes per month in live ooVoo video chat sessions.

Jay Samit brings more than 25 years of successful experience in digital media to ooVoo, having held executive positions at leading social media and music industry companies. Previously CEO of SocialVibe, Samit oversaw growth of the company's social media technology platform to become the industry's largest, reaching over 600 million consumers around the world each month for major brands including Proctor & Gamble, Kraft, Nestle, Toyota, Pepsi, Microsoft, Visa and Disney.

Prior to SocialVibe, Samit was Executive Vice President of Sony where he implemented a profitable global digital ecommerce strategy for Sony, creating a new division that launched what became the seventh largest e-commerce site in the world. As Global President of Digital Distribution & Development for EMI, he broke new ground for the entertainment industry launching digital businesses in more than 30 countries. As Senior Vice President of Universal, Samit built one of the first online million member social networks in the 1990s and sat on Universal Studio's overall steering committee.

Larry Lieberman reunites with Samit following strong success at SocialVibe. Known as a marketing innovator who has been rewriting sales and business rules for two decades, Lieberman served as SocialVibe's Chief Marketing Officer where he refocused, re-staffed and re-launched SocialVibe to become a leader in digital display and engagement advertising. Lieberman guided brands through large-scale social media campaigns with Facebook, Zynga Inc., Pandora and others. During Lieberman's tenure, SocialVibe's reach grew to more than 100 million unique consumers per month in the U.S., and it cultivated large-scale audiences in Europe and Latin America working in tandem with top 150 leading advertisers including Trident, Pepsi, Nabisco, American Express, McDonald's, Proctor & Gamble, Disney and Samsung.

Previously, Lieberman was Chief Marketing Officer with cloud-computing pioneer with Aniboom where he built a network of 8,000 artists to create animation for film and television. Earlier in his career, Lieberman held senior marketing positions in the entertainment industry at MTV, Comedy Central and Time Warner. His licensing and merchandising accomplishments with "South Park" and MTV products are some of the most humorous and profitable in the entertainment industry.
