With the slogan "Not All Toothpastes Are Created Equally," Colgate has just announced the release of their new Colgate Optic White toothpaste. Pointing out that most so-called whitening toothpastes only remove surface stains from teeth, Colgate Optic White toothpaste now uses Hydrogen Peroxide which is the same whitening ingredient found in various whitening strips. Colgate Optic White will be in Nashville supermarkets and drugstores beginning in September.

Colgate Optic White toothpaste Ingredients

Colgate Optic White toothpaste contains silica to remove surface stains of teeth like ordinary toothpastes use, but in addition, the hydrogen peroxide works from the inside out to help whiten teeth. According to Colgate, teeth should look whiter with in a week. Based on their four-week clinical study, teeth should get even whiter using Colgate Optic White every day.

360 Optic White Toothbrush

Colgate recommends the use of the 360 Optic White toothbrush with the Optic White toothpaste.

I used the new Colgate Optic White toothpaste every day for a week, and I liked it. After one week it was hard to tell if my teeth were actually any whiter, but I had been drinking a lot of tea, blueberry juice, cranberry juice and tomato juice, and the toothpaste definitely helped keep my teeth from staining. Could my teeth be a shade lighter? I would like to think so, but I am not 100% sure. I am, however, very satisfied with the Colgate Optic White toothpaste and will continue to use it every morning and Colgate's new Sensitive Pro-Relief toothpaste at night to help keep my teeth white and to reduce my tooth sensitivity.
